| arrived at olivers mount at 7.30 pm sat night, did 3 laps in the van as the last time i was there was exactly 20 years ago when i did 2 'laps' in a ford granada. went straight on at the downhill hairpin but tracy told me where to go and said she'd be better racing than me ! met billy (mckinstry) and his team & ivan linton & his girlfriend georgina who i know anyhow as ivan lives not far from me at bardney, and georgina lives just up the road from me in Lincoln. after scrutineering & signing on sunday morning, went out for newcomers practice at 8.30. track was dryish but damp under the trees, enjoyed it, good fun but its pretty narrow & lined with trees. morning practice & qualiying went ok, but the rain came & it looked like being a wet day, but then it started drying up in the afternoon. Heat 1, Spring Cup, result 12th Race 1, Spring Cup, result 17th Race 2, Spring Cup, result 10th Race 4, Invitation B, result 4th overall, enjoyed the circuit, results & lap times improved with track knowledge, & enjoyed the 'busy' race schedule | ||
